Express train rams into a stationary train at Kavarapettai in Tamil Nadu, several feared injured, Railway police informed on Friday. According to initial inputs, the 12578 Mysore-Darbhanga Express collided with a goods train at 8:50 PM. Fire and smoke began emitting from two coaches after the collision.
According to initial inputs, there were no casualties in the incident but at least 20 persons were injured and are being rushed to hospitals. Signal issues are suspected to have caused the accident.

At least two coaches derailed in the train accident while rescue teams and ambulances were on their way to the spot, Tamil Nadu police stated, as per news agency PTI.

A few trains including Tamil Nadu Express bound To Delhi from Chennai Central are cancelled.
