As the festive season approaches, many individuals are eager to return home for Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrations. However, securing train reservations has proven challenging for numerous travellers. In response, Railways has released a new list of special trains that still have available seats, aiming to assist those looking to reunite with their families during this festive time.
The updated list, made public on Tuesday, highlights various trains operating from key cities, including Gorakhpur, Chhapra, Mau, Ballia, and Lucknow. This initiative follows an earlier announcement detailing available services, indicating an ongoing effort to accommodate the surge in holiday travellers.
For those planning to travel, immediate reservations can be made by consulting the list of trains servicing their desired destinations. In cases where direct trains are unavailable, passengers have the option to travel to nearby stations, from where local transport can be utilised to reach their homes.

- 05109 Chhapra-Anand Vihar Terminal Special: Departing from Chhapra on October 30, this train has 2 berths in AC First Class, 94 in AC Second Class, and 434 in AC Third Class.
- 04043 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Special: Also leaving on October 30, this train offers 4 berths in AC Second Class, 2 in AC Third Class, and a substantial 780 berths in Sleeper Class.
- 01080 Gorakhpur-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Special: Scheduled for October 30, it has 26 berths in AC Third Class.
- 05005 Gorakhpur-Amritsar Special: This service, departing on October 30, has 89 berths available in AC Third Class.
