The homegrown motorcycle maker Royal Enfield (RE) has finally entered into the complete electric segment. It has introduced a separate brand for the electrified models called Flying Flea.
To kickstart the silent journey, the company has unveiled a production-ready model named c6. It has been reported that the newly unveiled EV is expected to hit the Indian market somewhere in 2026. However, a confirmed launch date is yet to be announced by the company.
Royal Enfield Electric Bike
As per the details shared by the brand, Flying Flea C6 has been positioned as an urban motorcycle. It can be used to roam around in the city as well. However, the company said it would be wise if the bike would not be taken on long-distance touring, and the reasons are quite obvious. It might not offer a suitable range on the long rides.
The e-motorcycle has been built using an aluminium frame, which somehow benefited the model in the overall weight area. A magnesium battery casing also has been used to cool it down and cut down the weight further.
Design
Talking about the design, Flying Flea C6 comes with an aggressive style statement with a bold stance like any other RE’s ICE models. It gets a round-shaped headlight setup, split seating arrangement, and stylish alloy wheels with disc brakes at both ends.
Notable Features
The battery-powered motorcycle comes with a Bluetooth-enabled TFT screen cluster, which will allow the customers to monitor all the bike-related information such as battery capacity, speed, RPM, and time among others. It also can be connected to the smartphone as well. The other notable features include a traction control system, cornering ABS, navigation and whatnot.
