President-elect Donald Trump has announced that Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will lead a new “Department of Government Efficiency” in his second administration. Trump said the department would “provide advice and guidance from outside of government”.
“Together, these two wonderful Americans will pave the way for my administration to dismantle Government Bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies,” Trump said in a statement.
“I look forward to Elon and Vivek making changes to the Federal Bureaucracy with an eye on efficiency and, at the same time, making life better for all Americans,” he added.

Trump said they will drive out the “massive waste and fraud” from the government. Musk is a staunch supporter of Trump and he was a key part of the Republican’s Presidential campaign.
Trump’s statement quoted Musk as saying that “this will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!”
Trump’s Special Shoutout To Musk In Victory Speech
In his victory speech in West Palm Beach in Florida, Trump gave a special shoutout to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, saying he is an important person in the US and his campaign helped him a lot.
“A star is born,” Trump said while referring to Musk, who has been posting a series of tweets in Trump’s support. “Elon Musk saved a lot of lives. He’s a special guy, super genius. We’ve to protect our geniuses, we don’t have many of them,” he said as the crowd shouted ‘Elon’.
“You know, he spent two weeks in Philadelphia, in different parts of Pennsylvania, campaigning…Only Elon can do this,” Trump said of watching a recent SpaceX launch. “That’s why I love you, Elon,” he had said.
