The Japanese carmaker Toyota is gearing up to Introduce the 9th generation Camry in India. The launch date has been set for set for December 11. It has been reported that the upcoming model will use the TNGA-K platform, and will continue to be assembled using Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kits.
Engine and Power
Under the hood, reports suggested that the upcoming latest generation avatar will use a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine. It will be complemented by hybrid technology. The unit will paired with an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT), supported by the front-wheel-drive version.
Here’s What to Expect
The model is likely to be equipped with two electric motors that will generate an overall maximum power of 222 bhp. These power figures might get a boost with a help of an additional motor, installed at the rear axle. It will transform the power from 222 bhp to 229 bhp.
In terms of the design element, the luxury sedan will share some similar style statements as the ongoing version. However, it will have some major noticeable updates from outside, which will help the public to differentiate between older and the latest versions.
Exterior
The new Camry will feature an impressive-sized trapezoidal grill at the front, featuring sharp fascia with proper LED treatment at both ends. The fully LED headlight setup will be there, and integrated U-shaped DRLs will make it look more appealing than ever.
Interior
Talking about the interior, the cabin will get a robust 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supported by all the wireless car connect technology. The other notable feature includes a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch head-up display, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, wireless charging, a 3.0 ADAS suite and whatnot.
