The luxury Japanese carmaker Lexus has finally revealed the second facelift version of the ES sedan in international markets. The updated model has been showcased during the Auto Guangzhou show in China.
The price bracket is not known yet. It has been reported that the comapny might release the updated model in India as well. The current model retails in the country at the starting price of Rs 64.00 lakh, while the top model goes up to Rs 69.70 lakh (all-ex showroom).
Top Updates
According to the details, the latest avatar gets some noticeable updates from both inside and outside, making it more luxurious than ever. Talking about the top updates from outside, ES sport now has been treated RX-inspired spindle grille at the front, featuring a fully LED matrix headlight setup, paired with integrated signature style LED DRLs.
To make it more standout out in the crowd, the model gets the trending LED light bar strip at the back, covering both ends. The rear section is also complimented by improved LED taillights. A lifted boot lid is there within an integrated spoiler.
Side Profile
When it comes to the side profile, the body colour of the door handle remains the same, while stylish alloy wheels add an extra feather to its overall road presence.
Powertrain Option and Rivals
Under the hood, the company did not make any changes. It means the car continues to get the same engine options as the outgoing version. The Indian Spec is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, generating a maximum power of 215 bhp.
As far as the competitors are concerned, it rivals against BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class, and Volvo S90.
