Ola Electric is all set to unveil something exciting next week, as confirmed by CEO Bhavish Aggarwal on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
Though the post doesn’t give much away, the images shared hint at what’s coming.
The first image reveals a new, removable/portable EV battery, a technology that Ola Electric filed a patent for in India back in July. Removable batteries are becoming increasingly popular as they reduce the need for a large charging network.
Whether this battery will be swappable, however, remains a mystery. The battery appears to be a rectangular box with a handle on top, and as expected, Ola is keeping the specifications under wraps for now.
According to Financial Express, the next exciting development is Ola’s new electric two-wheeler. Unlike the usual scooters, this one features a vertically-oriented LED headlight and front grab rails extending from the red frame. The rider’s footpegs are also visible in the images. This model seems to be Ola’s first move into the B2B market, which it has been planning for some time. A third image reveals a large luggage rack at the rear, confirming this design direction.
The post also confirms that the new two-wheeler will feature the company’s removable battery technology, ideal for the B2B sector. The battery is expected to be mounted under the seat.
The vehicle will be powered by a hub-mounted motor, and the images show key features like twin rear shock absorbers and a rear mudguard, both mounted on the swingarm.

The design is simple yet functional, with twin rear shock absorbers, a rear mudguard on a swingarm, large wheels, and drum brakes. The wide floorboard allows for easy luggage placement between the rider’s feet.
