The leading car maker Mahindra has launched its much-awaited electric SUVs in India called BE 6e and XEV 9e. Both the e-SUVs have been released with a price tag of Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 21.90 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). The former will hit the market with an on-road price of Rs 20.36 lakh in Chennai, latter will go up to Rs 23.59 lakh.

Size Difference
Talking about the size first, the BE 6e flaunts an impressive length of 4,371mm length and ground clearance of 207mm. When it comes to the XEV 9e, it is slightly bigger compared to the former, featuring a length of 4,789mm and a ground clearance of 207mm.
The BE 6e first comes with an aggressive style statement, featuring a similar front fascia as the XEV 9e. It gets c-shaped LED DRLs, a projector headlight setup and the trending connecting tailight bar trip at the back. The interesting colour options make it look more eye-catching in the segment.
When it comes to the XEV 9e, it has been given an identical vibe as the BE 6e outside, featuring the same style front fascia with a bunch of different elements from outside. The model has been positioned in the luxury segment thanks to top-notch features, premium class interior, and spacious cabin.
Features of Both Models
Both the models come with a long list of top-notch features. For the BE 6e, the list includes a Race-Ready Digital Cockpit, complimented by an illuminated 2-spoke steering wheel and an augmented reality (AR) based heads-up display. It also comes with a futuristic curved dashboard, complemented by a single-unit display – one for the driver and the other for entertainment purposes.
The XEV 9e has been given some robust features including a three-screen layout on the dashboard. It also gets an Infinity roof and an impressive 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmo. Apart from this, the vehicle also offers an ADAS Level 2+ safety, which is equipped with features like 5 radars and 1 vision camera with the ability to detect animals, pedestrians, barricades and different types of vehicles.
Battery and Range
The comapny has launched both EVs in two battery packs — 59kWh and 79kWh. The former is capable of providing an ARAI-certified range of 682km for the BE 6e, while the XEV 9e will offer a maximum range of around 79kWh advanced LFP battery pack. The company is offering a lifetime battery warranty for both 79 kWh and 59 kWh battery packs.
