Built on Jaguar’s JEA platform, the Type 00 will serve as the foundation for all of the brand’s future electric vehicles.

After unveiling its new logo and brand identity, Jaguar has now introduced its first new-generation electric vehicle concept, the Type 00 GT, which offers a preview of its upcoming production model set to arrive late next year.
The concept was showcased at Miami Art Week 2024.
The Type 00: All You Need To Know
The Type 00, named for “zero emissions” and a “reset” for the brand, marks a departure from Jaguar’s past. As per Autocar, Managing Director Rawdon Glover explained that this striking look is intentional, aiming to attract those who appreciate bold, dramatic designs.
The Type 00 breaks the usual EV design rules.It features an upright nose, long bonnet, oversized wheels, and flared arches. The concept car comes in pastel shades of pink and blue, inspired by Miami’s Art Deco palette.
The Type 00 features a grille showcasing Jaguar’s new “Device Mark” logo, slim headlights, a vertical bumper, massive wheels, a long bonnet, and a long wheelbase. It also gets a “strikethrough” pattern that extends from the bonnet to the dashboard. Although it’s a two-door concept, the final production car will be a four-door GT.
At the rear, tail-lights are hidden within a large strikethrough pattern. The car also features a unique glassless tailgate with cameras providing the rear view.
Inside, the Type 00 offers a minimalist approach. The driver and passenger areas are separated by a raised centre console, and there are two large fold-away screens. Jaguar has introduced three unique ‘totems’ – Brass, Travertine, and Alabaster – which allow users to personalise the in-car experience, from adjusting the lighting to the screen display.
While Jaguar has kept details about the Type 00’s battery under wraps, they have confirmed that the production model will offer an impressive range of 770km on a full charge. In just 10 minutes of charging, it can cover 321km with a fast charger.
