South actress Keerthy Suresh is all set to tie the knot with her long-time partner Antony Thattil in a destination wedding in Goa this month. Earlier on Friday, the actress confirmed her wedding in a video, adding that the ceremony will take place in the coastal state. Keerthy, who was at the Tirupati temple to seek blessings with family, spoke to the media and said, “My Hindi project named Baby John is releasing, and my wedding is set to take place next month. I visited the temple for that.”
Later, she also shared an Instagram post announcing her longtime relationship with Antony. “15 years and counting. It has always been. AntoNY x KEerthy (Iykyk),” she wrote.
At a time when the actress has formally officiated her relationship, celebrities from the industry have bombarded the Baby John star with congratulatory messages with fans also showering her with love and greetings. While complete details about her wedding date or other rituals are yet to be confirmed, reports suggest that it will be a grand celebration in Goa with double ceremonies including both Hindu and Christian traditions to honour her and the groom’s family culture.
According to a report by The Times of India, Keerthy and Antony’s wedding celebrations will take place between December 10 and 12, following both rituals. While the Hindu wedding is said to take place on the morning of December 12, it will be followed by a church wedding on the same day, coinciding with the sunset when they will exchange vows.
Rituals for their pre-wedding ceremonies will commence on December 10 followed by a sangeet ceremony on December 11. The actress has reportedly chosen a traditional Madisar saree for her Hindu wedding while they will go for a soft pastel and beige theme for the Christian ceremony.
After the grand celebrations, the newly-weds will also have an-after party at a casino to enjoy themselves with friends and close family members.
On the work front, Keerthy Suresh is quite an established figure in the South industry with films like Idhu Enna Maayam, Remo, Sarkar, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Mahanati to her credit. She is now all set to make her Bollywood debut with Varun Dhawan’s Baby John, slated for Christmas 2024 release.
