Starting Today, all international flights at Pune International Airport will take off from the newly opened terminal. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, along with airport officials, checked the new arrangements on Monday.
According to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in Pune, all international flights previously operating from the old terminal will now be shifted to the new terminal from December 24, as per Hindustan Times.
The new terminal aims to enhance the passenger experience and improve airport operations. It is designed to manage all international flights, marking a major upgrade to Pune’s air travel facilities. Airport officials confirmed that the terminal is fully equipped with modern amenities to ensure smooth and efficient service.
According to Pune Mirror, a review meeting was held with airport officials to ensure the terminal is ready for the transition. With everything in place, passengers can expect a more comfortable and efficient travel experience.
Mohol confirmed, “Currently, five international flights on three routes are running from Pune airport, and these have now been moved to the new terminal. The technical process for immigration has been completed to ensure smooth international travel.”
This move is set to improve operational efficiency, ease congestion, and offer better facilities, including upgraded check-in counters, waiting lounges, and security checks.
