The Chinese carmaker Build Your Dreams or BYD has been trying to spread roots in the Indian market for quite a long. In order to enhance its fleet in the country, the company is gearing up to introduce new models called Denza N9 and Bao 3 EVs.
According to the reports, the company has already filed the design patent, and an image of the same has been leaked on the internet. The news comes at a time when top manufacturers are gearing up to showcase their upcoming models at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The brand has also confirmed its participation at the biggest motor show, and is expected to reveal related details during the event.
All About Denza N9
Talking about the Denza N9, falls in the new energy vehicle (NEV) category, is owned by BYD, and and operates majorly from Shenzen, China. As per China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology website, the model has a 3.1-metre-long wheelbase and 5.2 metres long. It is available in both plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and EV powertrain options.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, generating a maximum power of 203 bhp.
Bao 3 EV
When it comes to the Bao 3, it gets two electric motors and is treated with a four-wheel drive (4WD) option. It has been informed that the EV is capable of doing 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 201 km/h.
As per the images, it seems like the battery-powered model will hit the market with a bold style statement, featuring sharp cuts and creases from multiple corners. It has been reported that the model will be based on a Super 3 concept car, and will be positioned a step ahead of its tech-loaded Atto 3.
