A political crisis could be on cards in Bangladesh where quota reform protests have taken a violent turn and fresh unrest in the country has killed at least three hundred people. The demonstrators, who clashed with police and the members of the ruling Awami League have demanded resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who dubbed these protestors as “terrorists”.
However, PM Hasina’s resignation could be a “possibility”, reported AFP quoting a senior aide as saying while her son Sajeeb Wazed has urged the security forces to block ‘any unelected government’ coming to power.
