Donald Trump took oath as the 47th President of the United States at the US Capitol in a historic ceremony, attended by hundreds of leaders, business tycoons and eminent personalities.
Trump, the second President in US history to be re-elected after losing, took oath in an indoor ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, an area which was ransacked by his supporters in January 2021.
The Republican President used Abraham Lincoln’s Bible for tge swearing-in. Lincoln had used the Bible during his swearing-in ceremony in 1861.
Soon after the oath-taking, Trump is expected to sign an executive order delaying enforcement of the law banning TikTok in the US.
