The grand finale of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 18 lit up Sunday night, delivering a thrilling conclusion as Karan Veer Mehra clinched victory and the much-coveted title of fan favourite. Throughout the season, Karan’s warm friendship with fellow contestant Chum Darang was a major talking point, sparking endless chatter among fans. Their mutual support became a beloved aspect of the show, with some even wondering if there was more than just friendship between them. Adding fuel to the speculation, the pair was spotted exiting the finale venue together, closely trailed by flashing cameras.

During an exclusive interaction with News18 Showsha, Chum Darang addressed the much-discussed topic of her relationship with Karan. When asked if their connection extended beyond friendship, she laughed off the question, saying, “This friendship will go on, definitely. The friendship will continue outside the house also.” Her words, paired with her candid laughter, left fans guessing whether there’s more to the story.
Chum, who was one of the finalists alongside Karan, had expressed her support for him during her eviction. On the show, she declared, “I want you to win, Karan, please win. The trophy should come home.” True to her wishes, Karan lifted the Bigg Boss 18 trophy and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh. The grand finale lineup included Vivian Dsena, Rajat Dalal, Avinash Mishra, Eisha Singh and Chum Darang, with Vivian finishing as the runner-up.
Post-eviction, Chum shared her mixed emotions, saying, “I am feeling happy. A bit disappointed that I didn’t win the trophy, but I was in the top five and my friend won.” Reflecting on her journey, she admitted, “I was expecting to win the trophy also. It didn’t happen, no problem.”
The star-studded finale, held at Mumbai’s Film City on January 19, was a night to remember. Salman Khan, the show’s ever-charismatic host, was joined by a host of celebrities, including Aamir Khan, who arrived with his son Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor to promote their upcoming movie Loveyapa. Former Bigg Boss finalists Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain also graced the event, teasing fans with glimpses of their upcoming show, Laughter Chefs 2.
