Big B has been associated with KBC ever since its debut, except for the third season in which Shah Rukh Khan appeared as the host.
The renowned reality TV show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), recently marked his silver jubilee, celebrating 25 remarkable years. The show, a Hindi adaptation of the British American show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, has been fans’ favourite ever since its inception in 2000 with Amitabh Bachchan as the host. In the recent episode of KBC 16, the legendary actor recalled his first reaction when the makers offered him the show. He shared that his parents were initially against him for hosting KBC and called it a mistake.
The Shehenshah actor shared that when he initially heard about the concept, he felt confused and uncertain of how everything would go together. To make him understand, the makers took him to LC Studio in London, where the game was being played. After observing the excitement and energy of the fans, he told the KBC crew he would only agree to host if they could recreate the same atmosphere.
Furthermore, he stated he didn’t even prepare to host the show and his legs were shaking on the first day of the shoot. “The producers never noticed my heartbeat and the camera didn’t catch my legs shaking on the first day. I had no idea what would happen. I decided to just speak whatever I had to say,” Amitabh said.
The actor also shared his family’s reaction when he informed them about turning a host for the small screen. “I didn’t listen to them and still went ahead. And here I am, sitting in this chair for the past 25 years,” the actor added.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Amitabh will be next seen in the courtroom drama film Section 84 alongside Abhishek Banerjee and Nimrat Kaur. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
