Republic Day 2025: Goa, UP, Bengal Among 16 States And UTs To Showcase Tableaux At R-Day Parade


As India is set to celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26, tableaux of 16 states and Union Territories and 10 ministries and departments of the Union Government will be showcased during the parade at Delhi’s Kartavya Path.

The tableaux will be presented as part of year’s Republic Day theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’ and will showcase India’s diverse strengths and its constantly-evolving cultural inclusiveness marching into a glorious future.

The Chief Guest for the Republic Day parade this year will be President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. The parade will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying a wreath at the National War Memorial. After the national anthem, balloons with banners of the official logo of the 75th year of the Constitution will be released. 

Here are the details of the participating tableaux of States and UTs:

1. Goa: The state’s tableau will represent the cultural heritage of Goa.

2. Uttarakhand: The state’s tableau will represent the Cultural Heritage and Adventure Sports 

3. Haryana: Haryana will showcase the Bhagwad Gita.

4. Jharkhand: The state’s tableau will showcase ‘Swarnim Jharkhand: A legacy of heritage and progress’

5. Gujarat: Gujarat will showcase ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’

6. Andhra Pradesh: The southern state’s tableau will showcase ‘Etikoppaka Bommalu- Eco-friendly wooden toys’

7. Punjab: It will showcase the state as the land of knowledge and wisdom

8. Uttar Pradesh: The state will showcase ‘Mahakumbh 2025 – Swarnim Bharat Virasat aur Vikas’

9. Bihar: The state’s tableau theme is ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas (Nalanda Vishwavidyalya)’

10. Madhya Pradesh: MP will represent ‘Madhya Pradesh’s Glory: Kuno National park- The land of Cheetahs’

11. Tripura: The north-east state will represent ‘Eternal Reverence: The worship of 14 Deities in Tripura – Kharchi Puja’

12. Karnataka: The state’s tableau theme is ‘Lakkundi: Cradle of stone craft’.

13. West Bengal: The state will represent the ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ & ‘Lok Prasar Prakalpa’ with a theme ‘Empowering lives and fostering self-reliance in Bengal’.

14. Chandigarh: Chandigarh’s tableau theme is ‘A Harmonious Blend of Heritage, Innovation and Sustainability’.

15. Delhi: The national capital will showcase ‘Quality Education’

16. Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu: The UT will showcase Daman Aviary Bird Park along with Kukri Memorial, a tribute to the valiant sailors of the Indian Navy.

According to the press release by the Defence Ministry, the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Ministry of Women & Child Development, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Ministry of Culture and CPWD , and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, will also be participating in the 76th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path.

The Defence Ministry had earlier said that the event will conclude with a fly-past by 47 aircraft. The ceremonial parade will be heralded by 300 cultural artistes playing ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha’ on musical instruments representing different parts of India.

Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh on January 20 had said a 160-member marching contingent and 190-member band contingent from Indonesia will also take part in the parade along with the contingents of Indian armed forces.
