Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas will release six hostages this week and Tel Aviv will allow Gazans to return to their homes in the north from Monday onwards, reported BBC.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel reads, “Following the conducting of vigorous and determined negotiations led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Hamas has backtracked and will carry out an additional phase of releasing hostages this Thursday.”

As per the information received from the office of Israeli PM, the hostages include Aebel Yehud. Earlier, Hamas relaesed four soldiers on Saturday, but not Yehud. In the statement, it was added, “In this phase, the civilian Arbel Yehud, the soldier Agam Berger and an additional hostage will be released. In accordance with the agreement, three additional hostages will be released this Saturday.”

In the official statement, it was further added that Israel has got a list from Hamas which includes the status of all of the hostages due to be released in the first stage. It also said that Israel will allow Gazans to move to north.

The BBC has reported that since the ceasefire deal came into force, seven hostages and over 200 prisoners have been released. According to the ceasefire agreement, Palestinians had been allowed to travel north of the Netzarim Corridor, a seven kilometre (4.3 miles) strip of land controlled by Israel that cuts off north Gaza from the rest of the territory, on Saturday.
