Producer Ektaa Kapoor is set to launch a few romantic dramas on Sony TV. Several reports about the shows and their star cast have been floating around on the Internet. Among all the rumours, one that caught the most attention involved Shivangi Joshi. The television actress was expected to star alongside Harshad Chopda in one of the upcoming projects of the producer. As fans eyed more details about the show, reports have emerged hinting that Shivangi has been dropped, leaving her admirers disheartened.
Reportedly, the production house did not reach out to Shivangi Joshi for further interaction about the show, effectively ending her involvement with the project. Post her exit, the team is looking to rope a new female lead to star opposite Harshad. Disha Parmar and Pranali Rathod are in talks to replace the actress. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.
The reports around Shivangi Patel’s exit from the show come after Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi were also set to join the show. Later, Divyanka dropped out for reasons unknown to us. If the latest reports are to be believed, Karan will also not be a part of the project.
Coming back to Shivangi Joshi, her last outing was in the daily soap Barsatein. Her chemistry alongside Kushal Tandon in the show received widespread acclaim. It was produced by Ektaa Kapoor under the Balaji Telefilms banner. During her time in the show, she also reportedly developed a romantic connection with Kushal. Now, the duo is said to be dating each other and has been going strong together.
Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Kushal Tandon opened up about his plans to take the relationship to the next level. He said, “I am not getting married right now but I am definitely in love. We are taking it very slow. My mother desperately wants to see me married and unka bas chale toh meri shaadi aaj hi karwa dein.”
On the other hand, Ektaa Kapoor sent fans into a frenzy with her latest announcement about the new season of the supernatural drama Naagin 7. The producer dropped a post on social media to share the good news. The post included a video along with which she wrote, “Nagin7 !!!!!!!!”
