Nadda Calls AAP ‘Factory Of Lies’, Says BJP Win A Message That ‘Modi Resides In Delhi’s Heart’

New Delhi, Feb 8 (PTI) BJP president J P Nadda on Saturday termed the party’s victory in the Delhi Assembly polls as “historic moment” and said it has sent out a clear message that Prime Minister Narendra Modi resides in the heart of Delhi.

Addressing an event organised at the BJP headquarters to mark the party’s success, Nadda hit out at the AAP calling it a “factory of lies and corruption” and said the results are also an indication that people of Delhi refused to “tolerate this AAP-da” any more.

“It’s a historic moment,” Nadda said, adding the BJP’s victory in the Delhi polls after the Lok Sabha elections “is a clear message that Prime Minister Modi resides in the heart of Delhi”.

Without naming the Congress, Nadda took potshots at its debacle in the Delhi elections and said it has been “consistent” in its score since 2014 by securing a “zero”, be it assembly polls or the Lok Sabha elections in the national capital.

The BJP chief said that the results are also people’s “endorsement” to Prime Minister Modi’s “politics of development and report card”.

People gave their mandate to the BJP as they had realised that “Modi’s guarantee is guarantee of fulfilling of guarantees”, he said.

The BJP will fulfil all of its promises and ensure progress of Delhi as it has done in the states ruled by it, he asserted.

Nadda lashed out at the AAP, calling it a “factory of lies, encyclopedia of lies and a factory of corruption”.

“’Kattar imandaar’ (outright honest) turned out to be such a ‘kattar bhrashtachari’ (outright corrupt). That the chief minister, deputy chief minister, a minister and an MLA had to spend time in prison,” he said in a reference to AAP supremo Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and other leaders of the party.

With their mandate to the BJP, Nadda said people of Delhi have also put a seal of endorsement on the legal actions taken against the AAP leaders in connection with alleged corruption.

The AAP leaders swore by honesty but its chief minister and ministers were jailed on corruption charges, he charged.

Nadda alleged that the AAP turned Delhi into a dust bin and gave people of Delhi potholes on city roads.

“Those who used to talk about giving clean water supplied dirty water to drink…They deprived two-third of the students in Delhi from science education. The results of this election make it clear that Delhi doesn’t need such a party,” he said.

“The poll results are a befitting reply to ‘kattar beiman’ AAP and its leaders,” he added.
