Aero India Show 2025: To ease congestion during the 5-day event, Bengaluru Traffic Police has imposed several restrictions, including changes in usual parking areas and lane diversions

If you are travelling to Yelahanka or Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, plan ahead as Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to manage congestion due to the ongoing Aero India Show 2025.

The five-day Bengaluru Aero Show begins today, February 10, and will continue until February 14 at Yelahanka Air Force Base.

To ease congestion during these days, Bengaluru Traffic Police has imposed several restrictions, including changes in usual parking areas, lane diversions, and has shared a detailed notification on social media platform X.

Severe traffic congestion has already been reported in the early hours, with vehicles stranded for kilometres.

Travellers heading to the airport are also advised to check with their airline as several flights are expected to experience delays.

Flight Disruptions Due to Aero India Show 2025

Flight operations will be disrupted as follows:

  • February 10: 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 4 PM
  • February 11 and 12: 12 PM to 3 PM
  • February 13 and 14: 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 5 PM

Entry Guidelines For Visitors To The Air Show

From today onwards, visitors must scan the QR code on their ticket or pass to determine their designated entry gate. Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will operate a Gandhi Krishi Vidya Kendra (GKVK) shuttle service from the parking area to the air show ground. Free parking is available only for pass holders.

Paid parking has been designated at the GKVK Campus, with domestic parking at Gate 5 and advance parking at Gates 8 and 9.

Traffic Restrictions and Diversions

One-way traffic will be enforced on Nitte Meenakshi College Road (east to west) and Bagalur Main Road (west to east) to ease congestion in the area.

Recommended Routes For Air Show Visitors

From Bengaluru East: KR Puram → Nagawara Junction → Thanisandra → Narayanpura Cross → Bypass Yelahanka → Coffee Day

From Bengaluru West: Goraguntepalya → BEL Circle → Gangamma Circle → MS Palya Circle → Unnikrishnan Road → Mother Dairy Junction

From Bengaluru South: Mysore Road → Nayandahalli → Chandra Layout → Goraguntepalya → BEL Circle → Gangamma Circle → MS Palya Circle → Mother Dairy Junction → Unnikrishnan Junction

Alternative Routes For Airport Travellers

From Bengaluru East: KR Puram → Hennur Cross → Kothanur → Gubbi Cross → Kannur → Bagalur

From Bengaluru West: Goraguntepalya → BEL Circle → Gangamma Circle → MS Palya Circle → Mother Dairy

From Bengaluru South: Mysore Road → Nayandahalli → Chandra Layout → Goraguntepalya → BEL Circle → Gangamma Circle → MS Palya Circle → Mother Dairy Junction → Unnikrishnan Junction

Travellers are strongly advised to plan ahead, expect delays, and use alternate routes where possible.
