Maha Kumbha Mela 2025: If you are planning to visit the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj via Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh), Nanded (Maharashtra), or Patna (Bihar), there is good news for you as Indian Railways is starting a special train service on this route. The Nanded-Patna train service will commence on February 13, while the Patna-Nanded service will start on February 15.
Passengers can make their reservation via the IRCTC website or at the nearest railway station.
The train will depart from Nanded station on Thursday, February 13, at 11 PM and reach Patna station on the third day at 10:30 AM. Train number 07100, the Patna-Nanded Kumbh Mela special, will depart from Patna station on Saturday, February 15 at 3:30 PM and arrive at Nanded station on the third day at 4:30 AM.
The train will halt at 14 stations — Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Katni, Maihar, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chhivki, Mughalsarai, Buxar, Ara, and Danapur stations. The Aurangabad-Patna Kumbh Mela special train will also operate for two trips.
This special train service will greatly benefit thousands of devotees travelling to the Maha Kumbh, particularly those from Khandwa, Nanded, and Patna. Running directly between Patna and Nanded, it eliminates the need for passengers to change trains frequently. Moreover, it offers a faster journey compared to regular trains, helping passengers avoid long waiting lists.
With the usual rush in trains during the Kumbh Mela, this special train will provide a more comfortable journey. Stops at Prayagraj, Danapur, and other significant stations will benefit many pilgrims.
