After rulling the market with the current generation, the Kia is now gearing up to introduce the next-generation model in the market. The company has not revealed any official details about the same as yet. However, it is likely to hit the market somewhere in 2026.
It has been reported that the upcoming model might get hybrid technology, which might attract a lot of customers. The reports suggested that the hybrid system will be as similar as seen in the Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro.
It will be equipped with a self-charging unit and will work similarly to Hyundai, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki’s hybrid cars. Some reports also hinted that the company is planning to get an e-AWD hybrid drive system. Again, official details about the same are not confirmed yet.

As per the spy shots, the model flaunts a similar road presence as the outgoing avatar. However, the updated version might get some major enhancements from both inside and outside.
What to Expect?
Customers can expect a redesigned bumper, updated front fascia, new-style alloy wheels, blacked-out roof rails with a sweet touch of chrome near doors, and dual-tone automatic ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. The side profile is likely to remain the same with slight work on the cladding, which might make it look more aesthetic as compared to the current generation. The company might include a new connecting LED unit, which might look similar Kia EV5.
Engine Options
Under the hood, the upcoming Seltos is expected to use multiple powertrain options including diesel, turbo-petrol and petrol with hybrid tech. These units will be offered in both manual and automatic gearboxes.
