After successfully breaking all the covers from the giant SUV Kodiaq in India, the leading car maker Skoda is now all set to launch the model somewhere in April. Yes, you read it right!
The news has been confirmed by the brand director Petr Janeba. He revealed that the vehicle will be released in two variants, and the price range will be announced in April this year. He did not comment on any particular or concrete launch date.
As mentioned above, the vehicle will be offered in two variants and will be known as Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). Both the variants will be different from each other in terms of road presence and features.
Variants Details
Talking about the Laurin & Klement (L&K), it has already been spotted at Auto Expo 2025, and revealed some of the important details such as exterior, interior and a decent list of key features. On the other hand, Sportline is expected to get a slightly different vibe. It will get an aggressive style statement, which will make it look super sporty and bolder in the segment.
Design Patterns
It is likely to come with eye-catching blacked-out elements from multiple corners and might ditch the chrome finish treatment. It will be treated with the company’s signature style blacked-out grill at the front, new design alloy wheels, decent-sized cladding on the sides, muscular bonnet, and will be equipped with a fully LED headlight setup with sleek DRLs.
Engine and Power
Under the hood, the second-gen Kodiaq will use 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It will generate a maximum output of 190hp and 320Nm of peak torque. The unit will be paired with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
