UN Rejects US Resolution Urging An End To Ukraine War Without Noting Russian Aggression

The United Nationas General Assembly on Monday voted against a United States resolution urging an end to the Ukraine War without mentioning Russia’s aggression.

The UN General Assembly approved a European-backed Ukrainian resolution demanding Russia immediately withdraw from Ukraine. The US voted with Russia, North Korea, Belarus and 14 other Moscow-friendly countries on the resolution condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine.

The resolution marks a setback for the Trump administration in the world body, whose resolutions are not legally binding but are seen as a global consensus.
