Stalin Birthday News: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin celebrated his 72nd birthday on Saturday with a series of tributes, family gatherings and public engagements. The day began with Stalin paying floral tributes to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) founder and former Chief Minister CN Annadurai at the Anna Memorial on Marina Beach. He also honoured rationalist leader ‘Periyar’ EV Ramasamy and former CM M Karunanidhi.
The Chief Minister’s birthday celebrations were marked with Stalin distributing chocolates to school children at Lady Willington Government Model Girls’ Higher Secondary School in the Chepauk-Triplicane constituency.
In a family gathering, Stalin cut a birthday cake in the presence of his wife, children, and grandchildren. The celebration was shared on social media by his son and Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister, Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Stalin 72: Wishes Pour In From PM Modi, LoP
Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his birthday wishes to Stalin via social media platform X. In his post, the PM wrote, “Birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu CM Thiru M.K. Stalin. May he lead a long and healthy life.”

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi also conveyed his wishes, emphasising their shared commitment to India’s diversity and constitutional values. “Wishing a very happy birthday to my brother and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Thiru @mkstalin. We continue to stand together in our commitment to preserve India’s rich diversity, federal structure, and Constitutional values. May you have good health and continued success in serving the people of Tamil Nadu,” Gandhi posted on X.
Recognition From Allies, Party Workers
Stalin received accolades from leaders across the political spectrum, including actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan, who met the CM earlier in the week. Haasan praised Stalin for his unwavering stance against the three-language policy, calling him a “bulwark” in protecting Tamil Nadu’s linguistic and cultural identity.
Later, CM Stalin cut another cake alongside party leaders and workers, who joined in to mark the special occasion at Kalaignar Arangam in Anna Arivalayam.
