At the time of the landslide, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers were taking a tea break at a roadside shop when they were caught in the sudden collapse. The debris fell so rapidly that no one had a chance to react. Tragically, a worker from Nepal lost his life on the spot, while six others sustained injuries. Rescue teams promptly evacuated the injured laborers and transported them to the Community Health Center in Dharchula for medical treatment.
