There is no surprise that the leading car maker Tata is in the process of releasing its much-awaited SUV Sierra in India. The model production-ready model, has been showcased during the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
Now, the patent design photos have been leaked on the internet ahead of the official launch, revealing its style statement from the outside and some key elements. To note, the model is expected to be launched in the second half of this year. However, an official update about the same is yet to be announced by the brand.
All About Patent Design
Going by the leaked images, it seems like the SUV will hit the market with an aggressive style statement. It will carry a bold design, inspired by the original model from the 1990s. The patent design looks like an ICE version, featuring an impressive grille at the front with sleek vents on the bumper.
The design looks a bit different from the production-ready model, which was seen at the biggest auto show this year. The photos show full cuts and creases at the front, with a massive bonnet, while the thick B-pillar has been ditched with a simpler design. The comapny has retained the squared-off wheel arches, making it bolder and more appealing in the segment.
Side Profile
Talking about the side, there is a set of heavy cladding. The model is expected to get flush door handles, instead of regular ones. The side mirrors will have integrated turn indicators and the shark fin antenna at the roof.
Engine
Under the hood, the Tata Sierra is likely to use a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. This will generate a maximum power of 168 BHP and 280 Nm of peak torque. The SUV will also get the familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine, the same as the Harrier and Safari. It will churn out a maximum output of 168 BHP and 350 Nm.
