Speaking about the launch of the Classic 650, B Govindarajan, Managing Director, Eicher Motors Limited and CEO, Royal Enfield, said, “With the Classic 650, we are not just building motorcycles; we are preserving the essence of pure motorcycling for generations to come. We’re thrilled to bring this iconic machine to India, and I am confident that it will be embraced with the same passion that defines our riding community.”

Despite its vintage appeal, the Classic 650 Twin comes with modern features like a digi-analogue instrument cluster, USB charger, and Tripper navigation pod. A notable upgrade over the 350 is the inclusion of a slip and assist clutch.

Engine Specification

At its core, the Classic 650 Twin features Royal Enfield’s proven 648cc, twin-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, producing 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm—the same as most of its 650cc siblings.

Ride Handling & Chassis

The frame and tuning are very similar to the Shotgun 650, ensuring a familiar yet refined riding experience.

The bike features 43mm telescopic forks at the front with 120mm travel, while the twin rear shocks (borrowed from the Shotgun 650) offer 90mm travel. At 243kg with a 14.7-litre fuel tank, this is the heaviest Royal Enfield to date.
