Eid 2025: Crescent Moon Sighted In India, Eid-Al-Fitr To Be Celebrated Tomorrow

The Eid celebrations started in Saudi Arabia on Sunday after the crescent moon was sighted for the first time in the Gulf nation. The Middle Eastern nation observes the crescent moon a day ahead of India, Pakistan and other neighbouring nations.

Eid-al-Fitr comes after the holy month of Ramadan, which started on March 2, after the crescent moon was spotted on March 1, 2025.

Eid-al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, after the new moon sighting. It is a significant Islamic celebration where “Eid” signifies “celebration” and “Fitr” signifies “breaking of the fast”.
