Eid-al-Fitr comes after the holy month of Ramadan, which started on March 2, after the crescent moon was spotted on March 1, 2025.
Eid-al-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic lunar calendar, after the new moon sighting. It is a significant Islamic celebration where “Eid” signifies “celebration” and “Fitr” signifies “breaking of the fast”.
