Earthquake Of Magnitude 6 Hits Japan’s Kyushu


Strong tremors of an earthquake were felt in Japan’s Kyushu region on Wednesday evening. According to the National Earthquake Science Center, on Wednesday (April 2, 2025), a 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck Kyushu. The tremors caused panic among people, leading them to rush out of their homes and buildings. However, there have been no reports of significant damage so far.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the southern part of Kyushu, and people there felt the tremors for several seconds. However, according to Japan’s Meteorological Agency, no tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake. Japan is located in a seismically active zone known as the Pacific Ring of Fire.

According to a report from news agency AFP, the Japanese government recently released data indicating that strong earthquakes could potentially hit Japan. The report also mentioned that such an earthquake could lead to a tsunami causing widespread devastation, with an estimated 298,000 casualties in Japan.

Earthquake In Myanmar

Last week, an earthquake that struck Myanmar and Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, caused significant devastation. In addition to these two countries, tremors were also felt in India that day.

In Bangkok, a multi-story building under construction collapsed, while in Myanmar, millions of people were left homeless. As debris is cleared in Myanmar, the death toll continues to rise.

According to the Associated Press report, the death toll from the devastating earthquake that struck last week has exceeded 3,000. The Indian government has sent relief supplies, rescue teams, and medical equipment to Myanmar using five military aircraft to assist the affected people. Several countries, including China, have also sent relief materials to Myanmar.
