The Maharashtra government has been taking serious steps to make travel more secure and better for those using the aggregator cab facility. After seeing the sudden surge of complaints of cancelling the ride, price surge, and lack of safety by Ola, Uber, and Rapido, the government launched the Aggregator Cabs Policy 2025.
Under the new policy, the passengers will now be compensated if the drivers on these applications cancel the ride. The decision has been shaped by Supreme Court directives, and the committee, which was led by retired IAS officer Sudhir Kumar Srivastava.

The newly launched policy will allow the women passengers to feel more safe and secure while choosing the cab or rapido facilities at night. The initiative includes the rules like women-only ride-sharing, making them feel more secure and comfortable.
According to the rule, poorly maintained vehicles will be eliminated, and the drivers will get a minimum fare satisfaction rating of 80 percent.
