India executed a coordinated tri-services precision strike, code-named Operation Sindoor, targeting multiple terror hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). Following the successful operation, a military briefing was held to detail the key aspects of Operation Sindoor. The briefing gained national attention not only for the strategic success of the mission but also for being headed by two senior women officers—Colonel Sophia Qureshi of the Indian Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force. This marked a historic moment for women in Indian military leadership, and the nation couldn’t be prouder about this.

The choice to have women lead the briefing was widely applauded by celebrities and the general public alike. From Deepika Padukone to Kangana Ranaut, stars took to their social media accounts to voice their support and applaud the historic moment for women in the Indian military leadership.

Adding to the chorus of praise, actress Disha Parmar also reacted to the achievement with an Instagram story that reshared a post highlighting the role and significance of Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sophia Qureshi.

Take a look at the post Disha Parmar reshared on her Instagram Stories:

In another post, the Bade Acche Lagte Hai actress reacted with a resounding “So True!!” to a statement that sharply criticised Pakistan’s claims of downing Indian jets while failing to address the presence of terror camps within their own territory.

The post read, “Pakistan claiming that they shot down Indian jets to let the world know about their military/air force strength. Wish they said the same about shooting down terror camps in their province. That would command more respect for them on a global level.”

Operation Sindoor, which unfolded in the early hours of May 7, marks a firm retaliation for the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam that tragically claimed the lives of 26 civilians. The operation targeted nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and PoK. These locations were believed to be crucial centres for planning and directing attacks on India.
