Siddhant Issar, who is best known for his role in Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Tandav, recently shared how unexpected situations caused him to cancel his honeymoon plans. The actor, who is the son of veteran actor Puneet Issar, tied the knot with his co-star Surbhi Shukla in an intimate wedding ceremony on April 21. The couple was scheduled to jet off to Kashmir after the ceremony and visit Turkey in May. Both of their trips are now off the table.

“We had actually planned a trip to Kashmir on April 23 and then return for our reception in Mumbai on May 2,” said Siddhant while speaking to ETimes. After the ghastly terror attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, the couple cancelled their trip. They were supposed to go to Turkey, but this time, things did not go as per their plan.

“In May, we were supposed to go to Turkey. Call it being lucky – Kashmir was immediately off the charts, and even Turkey is off the charts now,” he added.

This comes amid a growing trend of boycotting Turkey and Azerbaijan after both countries supported Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, where the Indian Armed Forces launched counter-terror attacks on Pakistan between May 6 and 7.

Instead of Kashmir or Turkey, the newlyweds chose to spend some time in Goa following their wedding. Siddhant told the media outlet that he was enjoying a mini honeymoon with his wife in Goa at their family home, where they had spent the last 15 days. Sharing that they had the house for 15 years, Siddhant added, “So I know a lot of secret locations, so we got to spend a lot of private time with no one around. We even spent a full moon night stargazing in an abandoned area. It was beautiful, private, and dreamy.”

Their real honeymoon, by the way, is still on the plate. The actor revealed that they will head back to Mumbai to celebrate his birthday on May 19 with his family and then might plan their honeymoon to Greece.

Siddhant met his wife, Surbhi, on the sets of their show Shaitani Rasmein in 2024. After dating for a while, the couple tied the knot. On May 3, Siddhant took to Instagram to announce that they had officially become “Mr. and Mrs. Issar.”
