Amid growing anxiety, Anupamaa star Rupali Ganguly took to Instagram to urge her fans to stay cautious. Sharing a news report that read, “Coronavirus returns to India. Mumbai reports 53 active COVID cases,” the actress advised everyone to wear masks and protect themselves against the virus.

Rupali Ganguly often shares her stance on ongoing issues in the country. Recently, when a Haryana-based travel YouTuber, Jyoti Malhotra, was arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan and leaking sensitive Indian military information, she shared a strongly worded post on social media. The actress wrote, “Such people do not even realise when their love for Pakistan turns into hatred for India. Initially, they talk about ‘Aman Ki Aasha’ and end up hating India. Don’t know how many such people are secretly working against the country, not a single one should be spared.”

Rupali Ganguly is winning hearts with her role of Anupamaa on Star Plus. Sudhanshu Pandey, Paras Kalnawat, Gaurav Khanna and Madalsa Sharma were also a part of the show in the past who decided to quit the daily soap for their own reasons. After their exit, rumours about their rift with Rupali started circulating, claiming that the actress was responsible for their departure from the show.
Recently, it was reported that Manish Goel, who plays Raghav in Anupamaa, is also set to leave the show due to differences with Rupali. Talking about the same with Vickey Lalwani, Anupamaa’s producer, Rajan Shahi argued that Rupali Ganguly is always blamed because she is an “easy target”.
In a sarcastic statement, he said, “Rupali is responsible for everything internationally and nationally, whether it is an economic or social issue or anything else. Everything. I consider Rupali responsible for everything. Even if there is a problem in Germany, Rupali is responsible,” adding, “She is a very easy target.”
Anupamaa, one of Indian television’s most popular dramas, continues to win the audience’s hearts for its mix of heartfelt moments, dramatic twists and social commentary.
