Hero Motocorp, the leading two-wheeler maker in India, is all set to enhance its fleet by adding two new electric offerings. The company has not shared official news about the same yet. However, it has released a media invite, hinting at an upcoming battery-powered set of wheels under Vida.
It has been reported that the upcoming models might hit the market using a cost-effective EV platform called ACPD. It is expected to arrive at an entry-level segment, and might feature an affordable price that will attract the masses in the EV-inclined audience.
Here’s What To Expect
The company has not shared many details about the vehicle. However, some reports suggested it will be positioned slightly differently compared to the ongoing V2 series and recently introduced Z series. The customers can expect a better riding quality, improved range and cutting-edge technology with advanced features.
Current Offerings
As of now, the company offers only three models in the country named Vida V2 Lite, Vida V2 Plus and Vida V2 Pro. These offerings can be purchased at the starting price of Rs 74,000, while the top models go up to Rs 1.15 lakh (all ex-showroom).
The company has been trying to reach a wider audience, capturing new customers. To achieve the goal, it is aiming to expand its dealership roots across the country, and is expected to get 200 touchpoints, including 180 dealerships in more than 115 cities.
Sales Report in FY2025
As far as the sales are concerned, Vida has been getting an overwhelming response from the customers. According to the details, Hero has reported a significant improvement in the EV segment in FY2025. It has registered over 175 percent growth, retailing 48,673 units in FY25. The number has grown massively compared to FY24.
