Mission to expose Pakistan-linked terror working full steam

From New York to Seoul, the seven multi-party delegations sent from India are carrying the message of exposing Pakistan and its links to terrorism to the world. They are also presenting India as a politically and socially united nation against terrorism.

Tharoor, former external affairs minister, in his interaction with think tanks in New York dubbed Pakistan a “revisionist power” and said: “No one sitting in Pakistan is going to be allowed to believe that they can just walk across the border and kill our citizens with impunity. There will be a price to pay, and that price has been going up systematically.”

Rising above political differences, the delegations focused on exposing Pakistan, seeking their support to bring Pakistan back in the FATF grey list and other measures to isolate the terror-sponsoring nation on the global stage. All the delegations have a representative from the minority community. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Asaduddin Owaisi, who is part of the delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda, referred to Pakistan as a “failed state” during an interaction with prominent figures in Bahrain.

“There is unanimity irrespective of whatever political affiliations we belong to. We have our political differences, but when it comes to the integrity of our country, it is high time our neighbouring country understands… I request and hope that the Bahrain government will help us in bringing Pakistan back to the grey list of FATF because this money has been used to support those terrorists,” Owaisi said.

Former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid, interacting with think tanks in Seoul, said J&K had embarked on a path of peace, prosperity and growth, which was seen as a threat by the adversaries across the border. “They would lose fertile ground for their future activities. This was the time to strike. They hit the spot (Pahalgam) to portray Kashmir as unsafe for tourists. This was a devious exercise against our successful attempts to normalise the situation in Kashmir,” he said.

Trinamool’s Abhishek Banerjee said: “Breeding a snake in your backyard and expecting it to bite only your neighbour is the last thing one should think of. We need to be careful and mindful of how Pakistan has been harbouring terrorism and terrorists from 9/11, 26/11 to Uri, Pahalgam… Bin Laden was found in Abbottabad, a place in Pakistan.” Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde-led team is visiting several nations, including non-permanent UNSC members. In his deliberations with leaders of UAE and Congo, he conveyed India’s sentiment and its zero tolerance for terrorism. Both UAE and Congo expressed solidarity with India and its fight against terrorism.
