A scenic village in Switzerland met a tragic fate after a huge slab of glacier flooded the region, in what scientists suspect is a dramatic example of climate change’s impact on the Alps.
A chunk of millions of cubic of ice, mud, and rock came crashing down on a mountain on Wednesday, washing away the village of Blatten with just a few houses remaining, reported Reuters.
