After successfully launching Syros under the mid-size SUV segment, Kia India is gearing up to bring a new version of the model.
According to the spy shots, it seems like the brand might bring the X-line variant or electric avatar for the Indian market. However, the company has not revealed any official details about the same as yet.
Potential ICE X-line Version
Going by the spy images, the test mule was spotted in heavy camouflage, hinting it could be a potential ICE model, as exhaust can be seen at the bottom. Once officially released, the X-line trim will allow customers to have more options in the range to choose from.
What About EV?
Some reports suggested that the company is testing the electric version. If everything is as per the reports, the battery-powered Syros will be considered as one of the affordable models in the Indian market.
Upcoming Kia Syros X-line
Moving back to the X-line version, it is expected to come with a matte-finish paint job, featuring the same style statement as the outgoing version. However, there will be a few enhancements that will make it better than normal trim. The X-line badging will be there at the back, same lettering on seats and mate as well. It might get some noticeable updates on the dashboard as well.
Meanwhile, the standard Kia Syros comes at the starting price of Rs 9.50 lakh, while the top model HTX+ (O) Diesel AT goes up to Rs 17.80 lakh (all ex-showroom). It is powered by two engine options: a 998 cc turbo-petrol engine and a 1493 cc diesel engine. The former generates a maximum power of 118 bhp while the latter delivers a maximum of 114 bhp.
