After successfully launching the tech-loaded BE 6 and XEV 9e, Mahindra is reportedly working on transforming these electric vehicles into hybrids. It has been reported that the decision to introduce hybrid avatars has been taken to capture a mass audience in the country.
Expected Specs
Most of the spec-related things are not known yet. The company has not revealed any official details about the same. However, some reports claim that the upcoming versions might use a 1.2-litre petrol engine, which will push the range further and will dominate the segment from every corner.
Expected Updates
The reports suggested that the SUVs will work as the generator, and will be capable of recharging batteries effortlessly. Aesthetically, the company is likely to carry the same style statement of the EVs, and might not change even a single thing in terms of design. However, slight nip-and-tuck updates are expected from both inside and outside with more colour options.
Price Range of Electric Models
Meanwhile, BE 6 and XEV 9e have been released in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh and Rs 21.90 lakh (all ex-showroom), respectively. These electric SUVs have been created using the company’s trusted INGLO platform.
Battery and Range
The former has been offered in two battery pack options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh, with a claimed 683 km on a single charge. While the latter is powered by a 79 kWh battery pack that offers an ARAI-certified range of 659 km.
