Mercedes-Benz India has reintroduced its iconic AMG GT series with two powerful models — the AMG GT 63 and the AMG GT 63 Pro.

Priced at Rs 3 crore and RS 3.65 crore (ex-showroom) respectively, these high-performance machines mark the return of the AMG GT nameplate after a three-year break. This launch is part of the brand’s ambitious plan to roll out eight new models in 2025.

Earlier this year, Mercedes also launched the EQS 450 SUV, the electric G-Class, and the luxurious Maybach SL 680.

Performance

Both versions come equipped with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. While the GT 63 produces 585bhp and 800Nm of torque, the more aggressive GT 63 Pro churns out 612bhp and 850Nm.

A 9-speed AMG Speedshift automatic gearbox and Mercedes’ 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive help the GT 63 hit 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and the Pro does it in 3.1 seconds. Top speeds touch 317 km/h.

The Pro also features track-focused upgrades like ceramic brakes, aerodynamic aids, and AMG Active Ride Control for better high-speed handling.

Dimension

The new GT 63 is noticeably larger than the earlier model. It’s longer by 182mm, wider by 45mm, and taller by 66mm. The increased size also means a more spacious cabin and a bigger boot, making it a more practical luxury coupe.

Features

The feature highlights include a 12.3-inch digital display, an 11.9-inch touchscreen, and comfortable sports seats. Buyers can choose eye-catching paint finishes like Alpine Grey Solid or Patagonia Red Bright.

Deliveries and Competition

Deliveries of the GT 63 will begin by the end of this year, while the GT 63 Pro will arrive next year. These new AMG GT models will rival the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS and will be brought in as fully imported units.
