Leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and opposition parties came together on Monday to condemn podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia’s derogatory remark.
Recently, popular social media influencer and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia — better known by his social media pen name BeerBiceps Guy — appeared on comedian Samay Raina’s show “India’s Got Latent.”
Allahbadia raised eyebrows for asking an inappropriate question to a female contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
The podcaster — who received the Disruptor of the Year award last year from Prime Minister Narendra Modi — faced widespread backlash for his remark as the video of the incident went viral.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took cognisance of the matter and said that anyone who crosses the limits of decency will face appropriate action.
“I have come to know about it. I have not seen it yet. Things have been said and presented in a wrong way. Everyone has freedom of speech but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others,” Fadnavis said while speaking to reporters in Mumbai.
“In our society, we have made some rules, if someone violates them it is absolutely wrong and action should be taken against them,” he added.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Mahua Majhi called it a publicity stunt. ” He also got a prize from the PM some time ago. He should have at least respected that… The relationship between parents and children is very pure. Making such obscene comments on that is not acceptable,” she said.
She called for strict action against the social media influencer saying the ministry concerned should take action.
CPI MP P Sandosh Kumar flagged that there are many YouTubers “who are trying to mislead the society.“
“For these people, it’s a dirty business and for that society has to pay…There is a limit to banning these types of elements and in a way, it affects the freedom of expression…We’ll support the government in formulating a thorough comprehensive policy but the ban should not be practical considering other aspects also,” he said.
