Army Jawan On Leave Shot At By Terrorists In J&K’s Pulwama, Condition Stable


A group of terrorists opened fire on an Army jawan in the Tral area of ​​Awantipora in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, injuring the soldier.

 

According to a report in ANI, the Army jawan was on leave and had come home. The jawan was shot in the leg and was immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment.

 

His condition is said to be stable. Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off by security forces, official sources told the news agency.

 

Earlier in the day, terrorists hurled two grenades at an Army post in Poonch district. One of the two grenades exploded. There were no reported casualties in the attack.

 

“Terrorists lobbed two grenades at an Army post behind an Army camp in the Surankote area. While one of them exploded, the other did not and was subsequently defused by experts during the search operation, they said.The safety pin of the exploded grenade was found near the perimeter wall of the Army camp,” officials said.

 

A massive search operation was launched by the Army and police in the area to track down the terrorists, who fled after the attack, the officials said.
