Television actor Ayush Shrivastava, who was most recently seen playing the lead role in the TV show Shamshaan Champa, has joined in the spooky thriller Jaadu Teri Nazar. The Zayn Ibad Khan and Khushi Dubey starrer premieres on StarPlus. Now, the actor sat for an interview with The Times Of India. During the conversation, Ayush got candid about his character, his bond with co-stars, stark comparison with the show Ishqbaaz and more.
Answering why he feels that the show is a turning point in his acting career, Ayush responded, “Honestly, it’s a big show, everything about it is grand. This is my second association with Gul Ma’am and Four Lions. And the first week of the show has been a turning point for all of us as people have accepted us with open arms. I hope that I will do better and our show shall do wonders. Rest I leave it to God. Not thinking much about ifs and buts.”
In the same conversation, he also talked about his bond with actor Zayn and the fun activities they do off-screen. Sharing that they have, like, a boy’s hostel vibe on set, he said, “We have a lovely equation, in fact three of us, the trio of Jaadu Teri Nazar. Three brothers, Zayn, Anmol Kajani, and I. All of us have so much fun, it’s like a boy’s hostel vibe on set for us, all the jokes, and at our time off, we play cricket and eat food together, we are more like brothers now.”
Talking about his character, Ayush said, “I am playing the second lead in the show, younger brother to Vihaan and elder to Arjun. My name is Harsh Pratap Singh. In the show, he is a cop. To date, I am loving the part, although a lot more of my part has to start in the show, but the brothers’ bond and the cop part are just fabulous. But honestly, there is so much to it as the story will progress, so I am in a very happy space work-wise.”
“As I was doing lead earlier, I was a bit sceptical about playing second lead initially, but Gul Ma’am and my director Afzal Sir assured me that this will be worth the effort,” he added.
He also opened up about the ongoing comparison of his show with Ishqbaaz. The actor said that there is definitely a flavour of Ishqbaaz as it comes from the same makers. But their show is more like a new version of it with totally different ingredients. “And we are happy people are accepting it with all their hearts,” he concluded.
Before Jaadu Teri Nazar, Ayush Shrivastava was seen in television shows like Alibaba Ek Andaaz Andekha Chapter 2, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 3, and Kyunki… Saas Maa Bahu Beti Hoti Hai.
