Amidst the ongoing violence in Bangladesh, 518 dangerous prisoners escaped from Sherpur Jail. Seeing the deteriorating situation, Sheikh Hasina has resigned from the Prime Minister’s post and left the country on Monday. Amid the violent protests in Bangladesh, India has advised its citizens to avoid traveling to Bangladesh until further notice. The Ministry of External Affairs has also issued a strict warning to Indian citizens residing in Bangladesh to remain extremely cautious and limit their movements.
