The Baramulla Police has successfully coordinated the safe clearance of 20 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) reported across 17 villages within the district. This critical operation, aimed at eliminating the risks posed by these potentially dangerous remnants, has now allowed evacuees from six affected villages to return to their homes.
According to district officials, the presence of these UXOs was initially reported by local residents, prompting a swift response from the police and bomb disposal teams.
