BMW Motorrad’s new adventure bike, the F 450 GS, has been spotted testing in India.
The spy shots of the same has been leaked online. After making its first appearance at EICMA 2024 and later at the Auto Expo 2025, this exciting motorcycle is getting closer to launch, which is expected by the end of 2025, as per NDTV.
Design
Though the overall shape remains close to the concept model, the latest spy shots reveal several key updates. The bike now features a 19-inch alloy wheel at the front and a 17-inch alloy at the rear, paired with dual-purpose tyres designed for both on-road and off-road performance.
Despite the camouflaged body, it’s clear that the motorcycle is equipped with saddlebags and a top box—likely used to carry testing tools. Additionally, the presence of a low-mounted exhaust and twin header pipes confirms its identity as the much-anticipated F 450 GS.
Engine and Performance
Underneath the bodywork, the F 450 GS is powered by a 450 cc parallel-twin engine, expected to produce around 48 bhp. While the concept version weighed only 175 kg, the production version will be slightly heavier.
Features
The upcoming BMW F 450 GS is expected to come loaded with modern features to enhance both performance and rider convenience. BMW plans to equip the bike with adjustable suspension, offering a customizable riding experience for different terrains. It will also include advanced electronic rider aids for added safety and control. Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes on both wheels, ensuring strong and reliable stopping power.
The motorcycle will sport a fully digital TFT display, along with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity, allowing riders to stay connected on the go. Additionally, full LED lighting will provide better visibility and a premium touch to the bike’s overall design.
Expected Price and Rivals
The BMW F 450 GS is likely to be priced between Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with:
- KTM 390 Adventure
- Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
- Honda NX500
The F 450 GS will be manufactured at TVS Motor’s Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu. BMW Motorrad India has recently discontinued the G 310 GS, suggesting the new F 450 GS will become the brand’s new entry-level adventure bike.
