Bomb Threat At Tamil Nadu Bhavan In Delhi Triggers High Alert, Probe Underway

The Tamil Nadu Bhavan in Delhi was put on high alert after receiving a bomb threat via email on Saturday. The threat, which claimed that an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) had been planted inside the building, prompted an immediate response from the Delhi Police and the Delhi Fire Services.

Upon receiving the threat at around 10 am authorities swiftly evacuated the building and launched a thorough search operation. Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads, conducted an extensive inspection of the premises. As of now, no suspicious items or devices have been found, but the search operation is still ongoing.

According to Delhi Fire Services, as quoted by ANI, the threat mail mentioned the presence of an IED inside the building but nothing suspicious has been found so far. He assured that they are continuing the investigations and have heightened security as a precaution.

The security has been tightened at Tamil Nadu Bhavan with increased police presence and surveillance in the area, reported India Today. Authorities are also working to trace the origins of the threat email, which is believed to have been sent anonymously.

The police are investigating the matter further.
