In a chilling twist of a honeymoon murder case, Sonam’s discarded mangalsutra and ring have become the key evidence that led to her arrest. Police investigating the case found the jewelry in a bag left behind at a Shillong homestay. The couple, Sonam and Raja, had left on May 23 to explore the Double Root Bridge. However, only Raja’s body was later discovered, while Sonam returned home with a tale of robbery. Suspicious about her story, police questioned why a newlywed would leave behind symbols of marriage. It was revealed that Sonam deliberately left her mangalsutra and ring to support a fabricated robbery narrative. Further investigation exposed Sonam’s connection to the killers, confirming her role in the murder. Meanwhile, in a separate tragic incident in Patna, a speeding black Scorpio ran over three police personnel at Atal Path during a routine check. One female constable, Komal, died during treatment. The car, flagged with a BJP symbol, was reportedly driven at 90 km/h and has been seized.
