In his Lok Sabha speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the successful organization of the Maha Kumbh, acknowledging the collective efforts of the government, society, and various individuals. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Uttar Pradesh, especially the residents of Prayagraj, as well as the pilgrims who took part in the event. Modi likened the efforts behind the Maha Kumbh to the mythological tale of Bhagirath, who brought the Ganges to Earth. He highlighted that the event was driven by the shared commitment and faith of the public. The Prime Minister also drew comparisons between the Maha Kumbh and key milestones in India’s history that have shaped the nation, such as the Bhakti movement, Swami Vivekananda’s speech in Chicago, the 1857 rebellion, and the struggles led by leaders like Bhagat Singh, Subhas Chandra Bose, and Mahatma Gandhi. He concluded by describing the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh as a source of national pride.
